Volunteer to help protect local water quality and beautify our city by picking up litter and planting trees during the 2024 Cleanup and Greenup Tree Planting event. We greatly appreciate your assistance and commitment to building a better community through environmental stewardship.
Who can Participate? This opportunity is open to anyone interested in beautifying Davenport and protecting the health our environment. No previous experience is necessary. Individuals under the age of 17 must have adult supervision.
Description of Work: Volunteers will plant trees and pick up litter. Litter pickup consists of bending and placing wastes in a bag for disposal and carries little hazard. Tree planting requires some lifting, bending, and shoveling. The equipment to be used shall include gloves, bags, shovels, and/or spades. All tools will be provided.
Weather: We will plant in light rain.
